Introduction

The Arts University College at Bournemouth is one of the most successful and most popular higher education specialists in the UK, with an excellent national and international reputation; it is committed to providing the highest quality, industry-relevant creative degrees. It currently offers over 20 degrees in art, design, media and performance, as well as a range of short courses, a unique postgraduate programme, and bespoke services to business.

The University College is situated between Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset on the South Coast of England. Dorset is a county of outstanding natural beauty, providing a unique location for creative work. It boasts miles of sandy beaches, the rolling Purbeck Hills, Poole Harbour and opportunity for a wealth of outdoor activities. Bournemouth has a large cosmopolitan student population and one of the most vibrant club scenes outside London.

The Arts University College at Bournemouth is a creative community where staff and students share a passion for and a commitment to the disciplines of arts, design and media. Course leaders, lecturers and technicians all enjoy a wealth of practical experience in their subject area and the majority remain actively engaged in their own work through research, practice or both activities. This work is used to inform their approach to your learning. Industry Liaison Groups and Visiting Tutors from art, design, media and performance companies also help ensure that our staff and students are informed of current working practices and technological developments within these areas.
