London School of Economics and Political Science
Established: 1895

Introduction
A small and highly specialised institution, LSE is for you if you are looking to a career in academic studies of politics or economics, or into governmental circles. It is not the place to gain a generalist business qualification - no MBA or taught masters programme in marketing here. LSE is different from most other institutions in that postgraduates significantly outnumber undergraduates, which makes for a very different dynamic.
Tucked into discreet buildings just off Strand in central London, the location and facilities can't be faulted. As a member school of the University of London, of course all their central facilities are available too. Of course excellence and exclusivity come at a price - not only are the academic entry criteria extremely rigorous, the tuition fees tend to be rather high too.
