Introduction

Loughborough University is a campus university located in the town of Loughborough, Leicestershire, in the East Midlands of England, about 1.5 hours north of London. As an educational institution, Loughborough University's roots date back to 1909. Loughborough University has nearly 16,000 students, of whom almost 15 per cent are international from over 100 countries. Loughborough University's campus is close to the town centre and a short bus ride from the railway station. The campus itself covers an area of 433 acres, one of the largest in Europe, which is very attractive and has many natural and green open spaces.

Loughborough University has student accommodation for over 6,000 students on campus and can also assist in finding private housing. Accommodation in the University's halls of residence is guaranteed for international undergraduate students for up to 2 years.

Most students live in single study-bedrooms which all have telephones and computer network connections. These rooms are in secure low-rise buildings. Halls of residence have laundries, games and common rooms.
