University of Salford
Established: 1967

Introduction
Salford use the marketing strapline 'A greater Manchester University' to remind everyone of their location (right next to Manchester city centre) and that they have been around a lot longer than some of the other universities in the area. A product of the same university expansion that gave birth to Warwick, Bath and UEA among others, Salford differs by having a green campus in a defiantly urban area.
A wide range of subjects, reasonable tuition costs and very affordable living costs even when compared to neighbouring Manchester. This cosmopolitan, convenient and compact campus is worthy of consideration.
