UKEAS

Dear
Student,
Welcome
to UKEAS Taipei. It is a great pleasure for us to introduce

pleasure in meeting you in person in the not too distant future.

Useful landmarks to help you find us are the Children's Traffic

Road is just three minutes walk to the office. When the Hsin-Dien
line opens soon it will be even more convenient to get to
us!

staff Peter, the manager, Ai-ting the office administrator
and Vivian and Kitty, the office assistants. We pride ourselves

Meet
the staff
Peter Jarvis joined
the UKEAS team, taking over as office manger of UKEAS Taipei
from Richard Smith in April 1997. He has been in Taiwan since
the end of 1991. During his time here he has been an English
teacher and has also leant to speak Mandarin. He worked at
ATEC, the former name of the BTCO for three years where he
gained much experience and knowledge about UK Education. He
has many years experience in counselling students and giving
advice on study in the UK.
Ai-ting Huang,
the Chinese Office Administrator, is a graduate of the University
of Essex where she was awarded an MA in Sociology of Culture
in 1998. She traveled extensively during her time in the UK
so this coupled with her study experience at The University
of Essex makes her an invaluable source of information for
our students. She is able to give you a well-balanced insight
on life and study in the UK.
Vivian Kung and
Kitty Hsiao have proved to be extremely popular with our students
with their ready smiles and warm, friendly personalities.
These charming young ladies, since joining UKEAS, have built
up an extensive knowledge on study in the UK. They will liaison
with you throughout your application process right up to the
time you leave Taiwan and if necessary while you are in the
UK too! (In fact many of our students like to keep in touch
with us to let us know how they are getting on.) They will
help you to book your travel arrangements and explain passport
and visa application requirements and regulations.
With this unique
blend of British and Taiwanese experience, we are able to
offer the best possible advice and service. When you visit
us I'm sure you will agree.
